On Friday, June 3rd 2022, during a ceremony at the Mexican Embassy in Stockholm, the Swedish State Museums of World Culture returned 24 ceremonial objects to the Yaqui Nation. A story that began in Tlaxcala in 1934, when the collection was taken out of its time and place, until its restitution to the Yaqui people and the recovery of their soul.
